Love in Politics, Really?

“President Trump is not simply a politician; he is a phenomenon.
And the only way to defeat a phenomenon is with another phenomenon: an uprising of consciousness among the American people. We need a deeper
understanding and passionate recommitment to what democracy means, and to what it stands for.The only way to override politicized hate is with politicized love —
Our love for freedom
Our love for each other
Our love for the earth
Our love for our children
Our love for our countryAs a generation let’s rise to occasion, standing for the values that give meaning to democracy and to life itself.”
MARIANNE WILLIAMSON
The above is a special message from Marianne Williamson; author, lecturer, activist and presidential candidate. I would pay good money to support her campaign just to keep this much needed conversation alive on the main stage where millions of Americans can hear the message. It’s a message to reset the hearts of our humanity family.
Watch her on Anderson Cooper. When asked how does one apply the power of love to deal with an auditorium of people chanting against congressional members, she replies “sometimes love says no.” Really? Really. Watch.
In 2016 Senator Cory Booker said, ““Love knows that every American has worth and value, that no matter what their background, no matter what their race or religion or sexual orientation, love, love recognizes that we need each other, that we as a nation are better together, that when we are divided we are weak, we decline, yet when we are united, we are strong,”
“In America, love always trumps hate.”

Shelby your speaking to my choir! I love and miss you so much!! We are aligned on so many things but our love for Marianne in this political conversation is probably the strongest!! Keep it going on the West Coast and I’ll do my part on the East! Did you know that California votes at the same time as Iowa in the Democratic primary next year so you and other Californians can define the political field for the first time ever! That is a lot of power so I hope people come out for her!! 😘😊❤️😍

Thanks for commenting Gabi! Using our voices, especially when they come from the heart, is really the most powerful choice we can make. Thank you for lending yours! I love and miss you too!!!
